RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- For 8News’ Spirit of the Season series, we’re highlighting holiday events in the Richmond area. Christmas Week kicks off with a lesson on how to build holiday charcuterie. On Monday, Dec. 23, Good Morning Richmond anchors Delaney Hall and Autumn Childress were joined by Teyoshe Smith, the CEO and Founder of Bite By Bite & Co., to learn how to wow guests this holiday season. The "Charcu-tree" is a festive spin on decorating the edible platter. And, best of all, Smith says it's easy to do! "Here is the perfect centerpiece for the holidays, right? So, having something that everybody can just grab and nibble on," Smith said. "And then it's super easy to make." The decorative delight only requires toothpicks and a cone stand -- Smith says they can be bought in a pack of six from Michaels and other craft stores. Then the charcuterie ingredients are up to the individual -- 8News used grape tomatoes, olives and a mix of cheeses. Visit Bite By Bite & Co.'s website for a wide range of charcuterie pickup and delivery options.
