LAKEVILLE, Mass. (WPRI) — A stressed Amazon delivery driver dumped dozens of packages in the woods over the weekend, according to Lakeville Police Chief Matthew Perkins. Perkins said an officer on patrol discovered three totes full of approximately 80 undelivered Amazon packages off of Bedford Street early Sunday morning. (Courtesy: Lakeville Police Department) Officers loaded the totes into a pickup truck and brought them back to the Lakeville Police Department, where each package was analyzed and inventoried. Perkins said officers have already returned the packages to the Amazon distribution facility in Middleboro. An investigation into the origin of the undelivered packages revealed that an Amazon delivery driver left them in the woods Saturday night. Perkins said the driver planned to report the incident to their manager. "We are not seeking criminal charges and are considering this a human resources matter for Amazon," Perkins said.
