Acuity Insurance distributes over $500k to Mental Health America Lakeshore in Wisconsin, along with five other charitable organizations

(WFRV) - During a recent Town Hall meeting, Acuity Insurance announced its donation of $500,000 across six charitable organizations.
According to a press release from Acuity, the money will be distributed to Mental Health America Lakeshore (MHA) in Wisconsin, along with Conquer Cancer, the ASCO Foundation, Fresh Meals on Wheels, Safe Harbor, The Salvation Army, and the Sharon S. Richarson Community Hospice.

Acuity Insurance is a leading provider in 32 states, with its headquarters located in Sheboygan, employing over 1,700 people.
Acuity employees voted for MHA Lakeshore to receive the largest donation of over $170,000 with the other groups receiving donations ranging from almost $45,000 to more than $90,000.
Acuity shared that this is the 12th year their employees have taken part in a special holiday donation, continuing the company's tradition of giving back to the community.

The release notes that each employee was also invited to choose any qualifying charity to receive a $100 donation from the insurance company which equals an additional contribution of nearly $180,000.
Acuity also put on a gift drive event where they collected hundreds of items for Sheboygan County Health and Human Services (HHS), which was the largest donation of much-needed items received this year.
