Baton Rouge Police looking for man accused of shooting at officers during stolen car chase

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) -- The Baton Rouge Police Department is looking for a man accused of shooting at officers during a brief police chase.
Micah Wiley, 20, faces charges of two counts of attempted first-degree murder and one count each of aggravated flight from an officer, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, resisting an officer, illegal possession of stolen firearms and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The police chase started after officers tried to stop a stolen vehicle around 11:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20 in the 5000 block of Bank Street. Police said the driver, Wiley, got out of the vehicle in the 5300 block of Hammond Street and was shot at by an officer.
"Officers were also able to recover a stolen firearm dropped by Wiley as he fled on foot, as well as another weapon and other evidence," BRPD said.
Corey Bassett, 20, and two teen suspects were taken into custody after the chase.
