Kelly Hansen, the powerhouse frontman of the legendary rock band Foreigner, said he looks to write a new chapter with the iconic rockers in 2025. Their upcoming tour, dubbed "The Farewell Tour," doesn't mean the group is disappearing, but rather that Foreigner will be scaling back without saying goodbye. “I want to be able to do other things in my life while I still can,” said Hansen, who emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards for every performance. The performances, which can include as many as 60 instrumentalists and a 50-voice choir, take a lot of work to put together. “You have to compose the extra symphonic elements to already existing pop compositions,” he explained, adding that preparation can take months but that the end result is rewarding. “This was another way of presenting our music in a different light,” Hansen said. “What we got in the end was really cool and really special.” Foreigner’s music remains iconic, and fans can sing along to nearly every word of their extensive catalog. Hansen attributes this longevity to the expertise and collaboration involved in crafting their hits. It's good advice that revelers will want to heed as Foreigner takes the stage on New Year's Eve for Coast-to-Coast Countdown to 2025, an exclusive New Year’s Eve special that will transport over 50 million American homes through four time zones of midnight celebrations live from the iconic Treasure Island Hotel and Casino lagoon on the Las Vegas strip.
