ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – A fundraising effort is underway during the holidays to support a family after an electrical fire that destroyed their home in Seneca County Wednesday.
Fire crews with Clyde-Galen Fire District responded to the home on Desmond Road in the town of Junius Wednesday morning. When they arrived, the fire was so intense they could only attack it from the outside.
Mike Stephany, a friend of the family, told News 8 that he set up a Go Fund Me for the homeowner Ed Townson and his family as soon as he heard what happened.
Nearly $5,400 have been raised so far. If you are looking to donate to the Go Fund Me page, you can find it by clicking here.
