Dec 23, 2024
The Spurs point guard helped children create Christmas ornaments and write letters On Friday, Spurs guard Tre Jones partnered with Methodist Children’s Hospital to help children create Christmas ornaments and write letters. At the event, Tre helped place ornaments on the Hospital Unit’s tree and assisted in handing out gifts to children.
“Today we came to the children’s hospital at Methodist. We invited some friends down from their rooms to join us in decorating some ornaments. We had hot chocolate and cookies. And then we gave them some presents as well, It’s Christmas time, it’s the holiday season, and we’re just excited to spread some joy to some of these kids that are going through some tough times in their life right now.”
The Coyote was on hand as well to add some humous antics to the afternoon.
“I have three children of my own...I could never even imagine spending your Christmas in the hospital as a kid. So I’m just trying to come out here and just give them a little bit of joy, a a little bit of fun, put some smiles on their faces. That’s what it’s all about.”
Tre, who had been sidelined with a shoulder injury, just rejoined the team last Thursday. He’s always been one to step up and share his winning smile for community events.
