WAIANAE, Hawaii (KHON2) -- Three male suspects, two 17-year-olds and one 19-year-old, are in custody after being arrested in connection to the deadly Dec. 19 drive-by shooting in Waianae. Get Hawaii's latest morning news delivered to your inbox, sign up for News 2 You The incident happened shortly after 9 p.m. when witnesses reported a white Toyota Camry passing by before hearing multiple gunshots. HPD investigates drive-by shooting in Waianae The vehicle then fled towards Farrington Highway. Upon arrival at the scene, HPD found a 28-year-old male victim had sustained a gunshot wound and was unconscious. He was transported to the Queen's Medical Center-West in critical condition where officials said his condition deteriorated and the death pronouncement was made. After interviewing numerous witnesses and reviewing many hours of surveillance video, detectives from HPD's Homicide/Strategic Enforcement Detail identified, located and recovered the suspect vehicle. "Evidence including bullet casings, were recovered and are being tested," said HPD in a media highlight. All three suspects were arrested between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22.
