ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Family Dollar on West Avenue in Rochester was robbed at gunpoint Sunday night, according to the Rochester Police Department. A police car parked outside Family Dollar. (WROC/Melanie Sosa.) Police stated that officers were called to the store just before 8:30 p.m. The clerk told officers that someone with a mask on walked in with a gun and demanded money. According to police, the suspect took cash and ran off before officers arrived. No one was injured. Charges pending against 2 minors after stolen car chase, crash in Irondequoit No one has been arrested. As the investigation continues, police asked anyone with information to call 911.
