Bitterly Cold Start to the Week
Dec 22, 2024
Arctic air is in place to deliver a bitterly cold night tonight and Monday morning will be very cold with temperatures near 10 and wind chills near 0. Daytime temperatures will struggle to make it the upper-20s, despite the day full of sunshine. Look for highs near 26, which is the average low temperatures for Monday. Clouds build in Monday night and there is a slight chance of snow showers with little to no accumulation overnight into Tuesday morning. There will be increasing sunshine after a chance of morning snow showers Tuesday and high temperatures will be well in the upper-30s. Christmas Eve is looking partly cloudy and chilly for Santa and his team as evening temperatures will be in the mid-20s. Christmas Day is expected to be sunny and chilly as well with highs near 35. From here, we find a slow warming trend and dry conditions from Thursday through the weekend. We should be back into the 40s for highs by Friday.
