Fourth arrest made in shooting that hit Charlotte school bus, police say

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Two more men have been arrested and charged in connection with a shooting that hit a school bus with children on board, according to court and jail records.
On Monday, Dec. 16, officials say a Charlotte Mecklenburg School bus coming from Albemarle Road Middle School was struck by a bullet on East W.T. Harris Blvd near Idlewild Road North. Thirty students and the school bus driver were on board when the incident happened. Two children were hit by broken glass, but no one was shot.
Suspect accused of accessory after murder in death of Winston-Salem man
According to authorities, the shooting happened during an argument over drugs. Shortly after the shooting, Lamarius Ramel Anthony, 21, was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed weapon and possession of cocaine and marijuana.

On Wednesday, 20-year-old Paris Lewis-Bynum was arrested. He is charged with the following:
Possession of a Stolen Firearm
Possession of a Firearm by Felon
Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill
Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle
On Thursday, a judge denied bond for Lewis-Bynum. Later that day, Jaheim Savion Boone, 23, was arrested after a quick foot chase. He is charged with:
Three counts of Assault With a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill
Nine counts of Discharging a Weapon into a Moving Vehicle
Two counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Cocaine
Felony Carrying a Concealed Weaspon - Gun
Resisting a Public Officer

According to court documents, investigators believe Boone tried to kill Lewis-Bynum and two other men by shooting at them. The shots hit the school bus twice; a gray 2018 Infiniti Q50 occupied by one of the male victims was hit three times; and a white Chevrolet Express van with two other men was struck twice.
On Friday, Dec. 20, a judge also denied bond for Jaheim Boone. Both Boone and Lewis-Bynum are scheduled to be back in court on Thursday, Jan. 9.
Joshua Woods (MCSO)
Also on Friday, police arrested 21-year-old Joshua Antonyo Woods, marking the fourth arrest in the case. He is charged with the following:
Three counts of Assault With a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill
Felony Conspiracy
Probation Violation
According to his arrest warrant, Woods shot at Boone and two other men with a desire to kill them. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, Dec. 23.
