Singlecar crash in Frederick kills one, police investigating

FREDERICK, Md. (DC News Now) -- One person is dead after a single-car crash in Frederick on Saturday, officials said.
The Fairfax County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) said that around 5:10 a.m., deputies responded to the crash in the area of Sundays Lane and Bartgis Road.
DC police: Barricade concluded without incident
FCSO said that 52-year-old Kying Cope was driving when he drove off of the left side of the road, hitting two trees.
First responders tried to treat him, but he died there.
FCSO said that the investigation was ongoing, but investigators believe that speed and alcohol may have contributed.
