As the snow falls on Deer Valley Resort this winter, visitors can explore a new base area with hundreds of acres of fresh, skiable terrain.East Village, the name for the resort’s expansion into Wasatch County located along U.S. Route 40, is an additional entry point for Deer Valley guests.Three new lifts, including a six-pack bubble chair lift named the Keetley Express, whisks skiers from the base area to 20 runs on around 300 acres. The Keetley Express connects the new East Village terrain to the Sultan Express.Once completed, Deer Valley East Village will add 16 new chairlifts, a 10-passenger gondola, and ski access across four new peaks to connect the new and existing terrain. Most of East Village will open during the 2025-26 winter season.A total of 3,700 acres will be added, bringing the resort’s total to 5,726 acres. The number of runs will also increase from 103 to 238. Bad news for snowboarders though—the board ban still applies.East Village will also feature over 800 hotel rooms including the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley, nearly 1,700 residential units, 250,000 square feet of retail and commercial space, and 68,000 square feet for recreation, according to resort officials. The project also includes 1,200 new day skier parking spaces—with about half opening this season—and aims to ease traffic flow within Park City.East Village is expected to elevate Deer Valley’s reputation as one of the best ski resorts in the United States.
