The arrival of winter in Park City brings fresh excitement for the 2024-25 ski season—especially with the 2034 Olympic Games hiking towards the summit.Park City Mountain was selected as a venue for the Salt Lake City-Utah Winter Games, and resort officials are excited to welcome the world to their iconic facility in the next decade, which has evolved from humble beginnings in 1963.But before the Games arrive and athletes take to the mountain for men’s and women’s snowboarding halfpipe, snowboarding slopestyle, freestyle skiing halfpipe, and freestyle skiing slopestyle, visitors have the opportunity to experience the same epic offerings.Every trip to Park City Mountain is bound to be exhilarating with 7,300 skiable acres and more than 330 trails for all ability levels between the Park City and Canyons Village sides. And don’t forget the festive atmosphere at the bases for relaxing après-ski.With the countdown to 2034 on and the 2024-25 ski season in full swing, Park City Mountain hopes to take a place on the podium for visitors this year.Ski & Snowboard SchoolGuests who need a little coaching before they conquer the mountain can register for a variety of lessons led by a Park City Mountain professional in order to build their confidence, develop new skills, or improve their technique.There are several programs for skiers and snowboarders ranging from beginner to advanced levels for children and adults. Classes are taught by friendly, skilled instructors in group and private settings.Park City Mountain offers the “Green Run Guarantee,’” which means participants will be able to maneuver a green run that’s accessible from the First Time or High Meadow lifts in three lessons or the fourth lesson is free.The All-Terrain Program is also a full-day program for kids ages 7 to 14 with intermediate to advanced ski skills, meaning they should be comfortable on blue runs and higher. Every day offers a new challenge for participants and allows them to explore the mountain with a skilled guide.Lessons can fill up fast, so guests are encouraged to book in advance.Visit parkcitymountain.com/plan-your-trip/ski-and-ride-lessons.aspxfor more information.Lift TicketsIf you’re planning a visit to Park City Mountain and don’t already have a pass, you’ll need a lift ticket—and they’re in limited supply.Ticket availability is visible on Park City Mountain’s website under the winter lift ticket page. If tickets are sold out for a specific day, they will become unavailable.Guests will also be unable to purchase a walk-up ticket at the window and are encouraged to purchase lift tickets in advance. A single-day ticket costs around $289, but prices may increase as the date approaches. A lift ticket is not guaranteed with lodging.Mobile lift tickets are new this season and can be found in the My Epic app.For availability, visit parkcitymountain.com/plan-your-trip/lift-access/tickets.aspx.Parking ReservationsPark City Mountain provides both free and paid parking for the 2024-25 winter season.The Mountain Village base area requires a reservation starting Dec. 5 until April 1. Advanced reservations are required until 1 p.m. and can be made online. Parking is free after that time and no reservations are required.The cost is $28 per vehicle in a surface lot. Mountain Village garage reservations, which are required every day of the season, cost $46 plus service fees.Paid lots will also be in the Upper Village and Pendry at Canyons Village. The Cabriolet lot will be free on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are not available.There are incentives for people who carpool or use transit. The event includes live music, complimentary churros, photos with Santa and fireworks on select Friday and Saturdays throughout the season.Silver Sky Nights start at 4 p.m. with events scheduled on Dec. 21, Dec. 27, Jan. 4, Jan. 18, and Feb. 14.
