FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Candy Cane Corner Pop Up Shop gives the opportunity for last minute shopping on Sunday. Stationary items, boutique clothing, baked goods among other potential gifts for loved ones will stock the pop-up shop. Visitors will also be able to craft, snap some holiday pictures and indulge in a hot chocolate bar. The pop-up shop is run by Girl Power Markets, a series of shops stocked with goods created by women entrepreneurs. Wendy Araceli is the Organizer of the Candy Cane Corner Pop Up Shop and founder of Girl Power Markets. In an interview with WANE 15, she said she hopes to show aspiring business owners their dreams are possible. "It's inspiring to see that you're not the only one," Araceli said. "There's someone out there that is doing what you are wanting to do." The first 15 visitors will get a "girl power tote bag" packed with freebies and discounts from the vendors. The event will run Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 1801 Lake Avenue. Admission is free. To learn more about Candy Cane Corner Pop Up Shop's vendors, visit Girl Power Market's Facebook.
