HS Boys Basketball Wrap: Shore leads CVC 42 after first day of CVCShore Challenge

HIGHTSTOWN — Day one of the inaugural CVC-Shore Challenge at Hightstown High went to the Shore.
Shore Conference schools won four of the six games.
The CVC victories were recorded by Notre Dame and West Windsor-Plainsboro North.
The final four games will be played on Sunday.
Notre Dame 67, Marlboro 56
Josh Gatete scored 20 points, Will Foley netted 16 and Wyatt Moore had 14 and the Irish (4-1) used a big, 25-17, fourth-quarter kick to defeat Marlboro (1-3).
WW-PN 53, Jackson Memorial 39
Blake Amos-Whitfield tallied 15 points, Ryan Jean-Baptiste had 13 and Malachi Jeffers-Viera added 10 as the Knights (3-0) remained unbeaten with a victory over the Jaguars (1-3).
Freehold Borough 47, Hopewell Valley 44
Kyle Yadamiec had 16 points and Jude Berman tallied 11, but the Bulldogs (1-2) fell behind and had their rally come up short against the Patriots (3-1).
Middletown South 66, WW-PS 47
Beckett Oliver scored 19 points, Matt Trimble added 14 and Brady Hahn had 13 as the Eagles (2-2) cruised past the Pirates (1-4). Cameron Jones led South with 13 points.
Manalapan 73, Steinert 49
Aiden Sosinov poured in 37 points, Dean Aviles scored 15 and the Braves (2-0) dispatched the winless Spartans (0-4). Anthony Santucci paced Steinert with 21 points. He made five 3s.
Shore 60, Princeton 55
Michael Bees Jr. went off for 32 points, but it wasn’t enough for the Tigers (1-2) as they fell to the unbeaten Devils (3-0). Bryce Crowe scored 19 points and Ryan Barham had 18 for Shore.
***Nottingham 55, New Egypt 49
NEW EGYPT — Liam Cox put in 18 points, Jayden Williams tallied 14 and the Northstars (3-1) knocked off the Warriors (1-2). Nolan Arnold finished with 17 points for New Egypt.
Lawrence 60, Carteret 30
CARTERET — Marvin McNeil made three 3s and scored 18 points, Noah Johansen added 13 and the Cardinals (3-2) defeated the Ramblers (1-2) for their third straight victory.
Morris Catholic 77, Trenton 49
NEWARK — Austin Workman scored 13 of his 27 points form the free throw line, Cristian Nicholson added 19 and Morris Catholic (1-1) saw off the Tornadoes (1-2) in the Brick City Showcase.
Peddie 68, George 65
POTTSTOWN, Pa. — Gabe Hornberger scored 23 points, Ethan Nelson and London Carson had 10 each and the Falcons (7-6) beat George in the Mercer Invitational at the Hill School.
