KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Police Department claims that two people are dead following a single-vehicle wreck on 23rd Street that occurred today around 2:45 p.m. 19-year-old girl seriously injured in multi-car crash on Interstate 29 KCPD says that around 2:45 p.m., a grey Honda two-door car was speeding westbound on 23rd Street near Stark Avenue. That car ran off the road and struck an embankment, overturning several times. KCPD says that the two occupants, neither of which were wearing seatbelts, were both ejected. One person died at the scene, the other was pronounced dead at a local hospital. This is an ongoing investigation, FOX4 will provide updates as they're made available.
