FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Homestead High School's baseball season was a movie. Literally. On Saturday a documentary dropped following the 2024 season from its genesis to the final out. "Bring It Home is a documentary that follows the Homestead baseball team... and their run all the way up to semi-state," said Bryce Garrett, director of the film. "The way the games played out and how the player played, they were the ones who wrote the story for us." Garrett has been focused on sports videography throughout high school and at Huntington University, but this premiere was a little different. "This is my first ever big premiere for a big movie," Garrett said. "It is definitely something new to me." Garrett attended Homestead and seeing a full auditorium for his work was a full-circle moment for the budding filmmaker. "I'm just really excited to finally show off this work," Garrett said. "It's more than just a game, you'll notice in the documentary... how baseball affects people on a deeper level than just being a game." You can watch "Bring It Home," on Garrett's YouTube channel.
