SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Officials with the City of San Diego announced Friday that its administrative offices will be closed for the Christmas holiday, with some facilities also affected by limited closures on Christmas Eve.
A breakdown of those changes can be found below:
What’s closed?
Several city services and facilities will be closed on Dec. 25, including all administrative offices. Additionally, curbside trash, recyclables and organic waste collection will not occur on Wednesday.
A one-day collection delay will follow the holiday, meaning Wednesday’s collection will be moved to Thursday, Thursday’s collection will be shifted to Friday, and Friday’s collection will be moved to Saturday.

Residents with private hauler services are advised to check with their provider for their specific schedules.
Other closures on Dec. 25 include:
Miramar Landfill, Greenery, Recycling Center, Mattress Collection Site, and Container Sales.
Street sweeping will not occur.
All City libraries, including Balboa Park and public recreation facilities.
City swimming pools and recreation centers.
Public buildings in Balboa Park, such as the Municipal Gym, Morley Field, and Balboa Park Activity Center.
The Personnel Department’s Testing and Background/Fingerprinting offices.
City Reservoirs and Mission Trails Regional Park Visitor Center.
Parks and Recreation Department Open Space, Permit Center, and Maintenance Assessment District offices.
Tecolote Nature Center.
The Development Services Department permits services.
Office of the City Clerk’s Passport Services.

What’s open?
Several city facilities will remain open with regular operating schedules, including:
Chollas Lake, Mission Trails Regional Park, and Tecolote Canyon Natural Park (weather permitting).
City golf courses, including Mission Bay Golf Course (holiday rates apply).
City skate parks, plazas, and the Pacific Highlands Ranch Pump Track.
Dog off-leash areas.
San Diego Police and Fire-Rescue emergency services.
Parking impacts
In observance of the holiday, parking meters and time restrictions will not be enforced on Wednesday, Dec. 25. Street sweeping routes will also not be enforced on Tuesday, Dec. 31. However, all other parking violations will be enforced. Residents should be aware of posted signage for parking rules on Port of San Diego property and in neighboring cities, as regulations may vary.
