SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) - On Saturday, Kingdom Life Christian Fellowship continued to define their mission of loving people and caring for their community during their annual Blessings on the Southside event. Cars lined the roadway to take part in the drive-thru event that had over 200 volunteers who gave out thousands of gifts, groceries and even prayers to community members in need. Executive Pastor Yolanda Roberson said, "It's important for us to be the hands and feet of Jesus of course, and to give back during this holiday season, and our team of volunteers, our staff, the whole community rallies together just to make this an awesome event so that we can share love with the community." Some of the food items and gifts distributed were greens, sweet potatoes, cabbage, nonperishable food items, toys, bikes, cookware, TV's, gift cards and much more. Volunteer Azsha Hankerson said, "There was a time when I was in this predicament where I just needed a little bit of extra help to get through the holidays. So, to be able to give that back to the community, it means so much to me, it does my heart good." For more information about Kingdom Life Christian Fellowship or to donate click or tap here.
