Two pedestrians struck and injured by pickup in Perris shopping center parking lot

Two pedestrians and some parked vehicles were hit by a pickup truck on Saturday afternoon in a shopping center parking lot on the 3100 block of Case Road in Perris.
Thirteen personnel from the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department responded to the scene and helped remove a struck pedestrian from under a vehicle.
The pedestrian sustained moderate to major injuries, according to the fire department’s post on X, and was transported via ambulance to a local trauma center.
A second pedestrian sustained minor injuries and declined further care once evaluated by paramedics, Cal Fire/Riverside said.
The cause of the crash was not made immediately available. It wasn’t immediately known how many vehicles were struck by the white pickup at the scene of the collision, which is the retail center west of the 215 Freeway and north of Ethanac Road.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the collision.
