MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A man was arrested on Friday months after being accused of robbing a woman of her dog, Memphis Police said. On March 15, a Memphis Police officer responded to a robbery at Mynders Avenue and Patterson Street. A female victim told the officer that she was walking her French Bulldog Bengie when a man approached her and allegedly said, "Give me the dog or I'm going to shoot you." Man accused of trying to set ex-girlfriend’s car on fire The victim said there was a tussle over the dog until the man pushed her to the ground and caused minor abrasions to her body and hands. The man then fled on foot with the dog. According to the police report, the dog was valued at $2,000. Police were able to retrieve surveillance video from the area and identified the man involved in the alleged robbery as 26-year-old Deterrious Daniel. Deterrious Daniel. (SCSO) The victim also picked out Daniel from a six-picture photo lineup as the man who allegedly stole her dog. Daniel was arrested on December 20 and was held on $20,000 bond. He has since been released.
