KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- After suffering a gruesome leg injury during the third quarter of the Chiefs vs. Texans week 16 matchup, Houston wideout Tank Dell is reportedly staying in a KC area hospital.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport said on X that Dell would be staying at the University of Kansas Medical Center after being carted off the field by a KCFD vehicle.
The injury occurred as Dell caught a 30-yard touchdown pass from QB CJ Stroud. Dell's teammate, Jared Wayne, came crashing into Dell, who miraculously held on the the ball for the score.

The second-year receiver immediately started pointing toward his left leg, which was visibly seriously wounded from the collision. Dell suffered a similar, season-ending injury just last season.
The Texans were obviously shaken up, as Stroud could be seen tearing up and Houston's kicker followed up the play with his first missed extra point of the year, making matters worse for the team.
Up until the injury, Dell was having a stellar outing, totaling 98 yards and a touchdown on six catches.
