(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) reported that on Tuesday, Dec. 17, deputies arrested a man wanted on a Colorado Department of Corrections (DOC) felony warrant after he was caught running from the scene of a robbery.
According to PCSO, around 2:15 p.m. deputies responded to a shoplifting call at a Dollar General store on Santa Fe Drive near South Aspen Road in Pueblo after an employee reported a suspicious man in the store who they believed was concealing an item in his coat. When deputies arrived, they saw a man who matched the description, later identified as 36-year-old Anthony C. Loudy.

PCSO said that Loudy left the store, walking westbound, but when he saw the deputy, he ran and attempted to climb a fence. The deputy commanded Loudy to stop running and lay on the ground, which Loudy at first obeyed, but while he was being questioned by the deputy, he got up and ran.
The deputy yelled for Loudy to stop running, according to PCSO, but when he didn't stop, the deputy stunned him with a taser and took him into custody. PCSO said that Loudy gave two false names before his fingerprints positively identified him, revealing that DOC wanted him on a fugitive extradition unit warrant.
During a search, deputies allegedly found several items on Loudy from the Dollar General. Loudy was arrested on the existing warrant and new charges of criminal impersonation, resisting arrest, and theft and was booked into the Pueblo County Jail.
