Cold weekend with warmer air on the way
Dec 21, 2024
It is a cold start to the weekend across northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio as northwesterly winds haul in colder air. We will, at least, see some sunny times this weekend.
With the northwest wind flow, there could be an occasional gust up to 20 mph this afternoon. Temperatures today stay just under the 30s for high temperatures. It is definitely a cold one out there, so bundle if you're running out to get some last-minute holiday shopping done!
Occasional moments of sunshine. Dry and cold to start the weekend.
High temperatures will not stay in the 20s to finish the weekend. We'll be slightly warmer on Sunday, eclipsing the 30s, but still cold and below average for this time of year. Sunday will at least provide a lot of sunshine.
Some colder than average weekend days coming before we get warmer next week.
Temperatures through this week saw a continuous decline in highs. We see the opposite trend for the upcoming week. Highs on Monday reach the mid-upper 30s, and we only get warmer from there. Rain showers will also be possible on Monday as a system passes by.
Tuesday hits the 40° mark for the high temperature with a slight chance of rain showers.
For those dreaming of a White Christmas, it will, unfortunately, remain a dream this year. Highs then reach the mid-upper 40s with chances for some rain showers. No snow, sadly.
Warmer air continues into the end of next week, as we'll see 50s for highs on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Rain showers will be possible throughout many days in the upcoming week, although confidence is lacking in the probability of them happening at this time. Keep that umbrella in the back seat!
