COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – Police have arrested a man accused in a hit-and-run that occurred over five months ago in southwest Columbus. According to court documents, officers were called to the 2000 block of Silverbluff Drive on reports of a man struck by a vehicle. Police were told by witnesses that a white Kia Soul intentionally swerved to strike the man, who was taken to a hospital and treated for broken ribs and lacerations. The victim showed police a Facebook photo of the man he accused of hitting him, and other witnesses provided the license plate of the suspect’s vehicle. Two Columbus police officers hospitalized after crash Police obtained a search warrant and found front-end damage to the Kia, which was parked behind the suspect’s residence, along with evidence of blood on the windshield. The victim identified the suspect, 32-year-old Obrien Miller, from a photo array. A warrant was issued for Miller on July 25, and he was arrested Thursday. On Friday, a Franklin County Municipal Court judge issued him a $150,000 bond on a charge of felonious assault. He is next scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
