North Fork man arrested for attempted kidnapping of teen

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A man has been arrested in North Fork after allegedly trying to kidnap a teenager, the Madera County Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies say they received a call shortly after 7 a.m. on Friday reporting a potential kidnapping near the 39000 block of Wyle Ranch Road in North Fork.
Sheriff's officials say the caller stated an unidentified man pulled up in a vehicle next to his 15-year-old son during his walk to the bus stop and told him to get into the car. The juvenile was able to run away on foot and evade the driver while his father witnessed from a distance and attempted to intervene.
Deputies saturated the area and said they identified the vehicle involved. They responded to the address registered to the vehicle and located the suspect, 39-year-old Brian Sam Davis Jr. of North Fork.
The sheriff's office says he was taken into custody and booked into the Madera County Jail in connection with various charges, including suspicion of attempted kidnapping.
