TULARE, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - There will be nighttime full closures in areas of Highway 99 in Tulare County starting Sunday and it will go through Christmas Eve, the City of Tulare announced Friday.
The city of Tulare says the full closures will happen for the placement of falsework as part of construction on the international Ag Expo Interchange project.
The following operations will occur, weather permitting:
Northbound Highway 99 will be closed at Avenue 200 (Exit 83) on Dec. 22 at 10 p.m. through Dec. 23 at 4 a.m. Officials say a posted detour will take traffic off Highway 99 at Avenue 200 (Exit 83), then utilize Tex Drive, Laspina Street and Paige Avenue to re-enter northbound Highway 99.
Southbound Highway 99 will be closed at Paige Avenue (Exit 85) on Dec. 23 at 10 p.m. through Dec. 24, at 4 a.m. Officials say the posted detour will take traffic off Highway 99 at Paige Avenue (Exit 85), then utilize Paige Avenue, K Street and Rankin Road to re-enter southbound Highway 99.
