BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A woman on Friday pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter in the shooting death of her boyfriend outside a Rosamond motel two years ago. Gabriela Martinez, 30, entered the no contest plea in exchange for the dismissal of a charge of first-degree murder, according to court records. A sentencing hearing is scheduled Feb. 25. Martinez was arrested days after the Nov. 9, 2022, shooting of Kevin Ramirez, 37, outside the Rosamond Palms Motel.
