Officer hurt after collision, vehicle fire in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- First responders were at the scene of a collision and vehicle fire that happened shortly before rush hour on Friday.
Pete Piringer, a spokesman with Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) said the incident happened in the area of Flower Hill Way and Snouffer School Road.
Police looking for man who stole power tools, power equipment from businesses across Fairfax County
The Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) said an officer was responding to an unrelated call when a vehicle crashed into their cruiser, which had its airbags deploy before catching fire.
The officer was temporarily trapped inside the cruiser.
Another responding officer was able to help remove the officer from the cruiser.
Two people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
