LA PLATA, Md. (DC News Now) -- Maryland State Police (MSP) said one of its lieutenants rescued an injured barred owl that had been hit by a car. Earlier this month, Lt. West stumbled upon the injured owl on the road. MSP said he quickly activated his emergency equipment and moved the owl from the road and out of harm's way.
