ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Three Monroe County Sheriff's Deputies are suspended without pay after a fight between two incarcerated individuals happened at Monroe County Jail. MCSO said they are looking into allegations of official misconduct and reports of physical altercations between the individuals. The Jail Superintendent at Monroe County Jail noted "deputies may have violated official duties" during the fight. According to MCSO, the individuals involved in the incident have been isolated to ensure safety of everyone inside the jail and an internal investigation has been launched. One incarcerated person was evaluated at a local hospital. The two involved are currently in the jail awaiting trial. The three deputies in question will be suspended without pay throughout the duration of the investigation. MCSO also said they have notified the State Commission of Corrections and the State Attorney General's office. This is a developing story. You can check back here for updates.
