ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Slippery road conditions caused an SUV to slide into a school bus on Brooks Avenue Friday.
Rochester Police said officers responded to the crash at the intersection of Brookes Avenue and Post Avenue around 4:40 p.m. Police said a 21-year-old woman was driving down Brookes Avenue when she slid into the rear end of the school bus.
According to RPD, there were two children, age 6 and age 8, along with an 80-year-old driver and a 50-year-old bus assistant in the bus at the time of the crash.
Police said there were no injuries as a result of the crash. The SUV involved was damaged, but the bus was not. Both the bus and the SUV were able to drive away from the crash.
RPD noted that the slippery roads seemed to be the cause of the crash and there have been no tickets issued.
