FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - After a crash on Highway 168 on Friday, California Highway Patrol officials are reminding drivers of the dangers of driving while drowsy. "Even when the roads are clear, dry, and hazard-free," CHP said on social media. "Staying rested before getting behind the wheel is just as important. According to officials, Friday morning the driver of one of the vehicles fell asleep at the wheel and the vehicle overturned several times on Highway 168 at the four lanes in Fresno County. Officials say thankfully, the driver was wearing a seatbelt correctly, which helped him escape without injury. "Drive Safe, Drive Alert, Drive Rested," CHP said via social media. "Your safety is worth the extra rest."
