Aurora pedestrian struck, killed while crossing South Chambers Road

A man died after he was struck by the driver of a sedan while he crossed South Chambers Road late Thursday night, according to the Aurora Police Department.
Police responded to the crash at 10 p.m. just south of East Iliff Avenue and found that a man was crossing South Chambers in traffic when he was struck, the agency said in a news release.
He was taken to the hospital and later died.
The sedan driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, but no charges are expected in the case, police officials said Friday.
The man will be identified by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
