Park City’s largest affordable housing project set to open in summer 2025

Construction of EngineHouse, a development that will add 99 workforce units to Park City’s housing stock, is moving along.To date, workers have excavated approximately 41,000 tons of dirt and poured about 4,000 yards of concrete, according to J. Fisher Companies, which is partnering on the project with Park City. They are using about 9,000 tons of that dirt on site, and the last section of concrete deck is being poured this week.Framing of the V-shaped building and installation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems are underway.Construction of the development project, at 1875 Homestake Road, is projected to be completed in summer 2025. Park City owns the 1.9-acre parcel and J. Fisher, a Centerville-based real estate development company, has a 99-year lease on the land. A ceremonial groundbreaking of EngineHouse, the largest public-private partnership for affordable housing in Park City’s history, was held Oct. 4, 2023. The four-story building will have 123 apartments and 99 of them will be income-restricted units, while 24 will be rented at market prices.The units will include one-, two- and three-bedroom options. The affordable apartments will be restricted to people who on average earn 58% of the area median income or lower.Applications to rent a unit will be accepted beginning in the spring. https://the-enginehouse.com/The apartments’ features include custom cabinets, quartz countertops and washers and dryers. The development has underground parking with 140 parking spaces and eight electric vehicle charging stations.
