HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Want to know where you can recycle your Christmas tree after the holidays?
8News has compiled a list of places in Central Virginia where you can recycle your Christmas tree after the holidays have passed.
Richmond
16th Annual Bring One for the Chipper Christmas Tree Recycling Event
Located at 1710 Robin Hood Rd. -- Northeast corner of Robin Hood Road and North Arthur Ashe Boulevard
Saturday, Jan. 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Trees are accepted at the site any time prior to the event, but after the event ends no more trees will be accepted, according to the City of Richmond.
In addition, services like mattress and box spring recycling, as well as electronic recycling, with a fee, and paper shredding will also be offered at the event.
East Richmond Road Convenience Center
Located at 3800 East Richmond Rd.
Dec. 26 through Jan. 9, and closed on Jan. 1 -- Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Curbside Collection Instructions
Dec. 26 through Jan. 9
Residents can place their Christmas trees outside beside their recycling bins for the bulk and brush team to collect. Make sure that the tree is free from decorations and lights before pickup.
Henrico County
Henrico County Government Center
Located at 4301 E. Parham Rd. -- lower parking lot

Eastern Government Center
Located at 3820 Nine Mile Rd. -- front parking lot

Charles City Road Public Use Area
Located at 2075 Charles City Rd.
Dec. 26 through Jan. 9 between 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
According to Henrico County, this free service is being offered to residents in the county by Keep Henrico Beautiful and the Department of Public Utilities. Before recycling, trees must be free of accessories like ornaments, tinsel, lights, tree stands, etc.
In addition, the county would like to remind its residents to not put their trees out for curbside trash collection -- trees are not eligible for weekly trash pickup.
Chesterfield County
Northern Area Convenience Center
Located at 3200 Warbro Rd.
Dec. 26 through Jan. 31 between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Southern Area Convenience Center
Located at 6700 Landfill Rd. near Route 10
Dec. 26 through Jan. 31 between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
According to Chesterfield County, both locations will be closed from noon on Dec. 31 until Jan. 2.
Colonial Heights
Recycling Center
Located at 2701 Conduit Rd. behind Sheetz
Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. -- closed on Christmas and New Year's Day
Goochland County
Central Convenience Center
Located at 1908 Hidden Rock Lane near Route 522

Make sure to remove tree decorations and keep the trees separated from household waste.
Powhatan County
