Weather Alert: Winter Weather Advisories Issued; Slick Travel Possible
Dec 20, 2024
WEATHER ALERT: Winter Weather Advisory issued for parts of our area.... Snow continues this afternoon and evening. Some slick roads and reduced visibility is possible during the evening. Snow accumulations of 1-2" possible near and just inland from the coast. 2-4" of snow possible across inland areas.... see map below.
Good afternoon! Snow continues across a good chunk of the area with plain cold rain near far southeastern Massachusetts. Roads could become slick and visibility could become poor this afternoon and evening as it gets dark. Much colder weather is on the way for everyone this weekend.
We're tracking a developing coastal storm, which will pass to our southeast tonight. Its distance from Southeast New England will spare us any significant rain/snow amounts but close enough to bring us some impacts. Watch for slick roads and reduced visibilities this afternoon and evening.
