RI unemployment rate remains unchanged for 3rd straight month

CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — Rhode Island's unemployment rate has held steady for the third month in a row, according to the R.I. Department of Labor and Training (DLT).
Job numbers from the DLT showed the state's unemployment rate in November was 4.6%, which was the same figure reported for August, September and October. The last time there was a change was when it increased 0.1% from July to August.
Rhode Island's rate is still higher than the national rate, which the DLT said was at 4.2%, up 0.1% from October.
The DLT's data also showed the state added 1,500 jobs in November.
Approximately 561,600 Rhode Islanders were employed, a decrease of 1,700 compared to October's number.
