Gray man arrested, accused of multiple robberies at Terrebonne Parish business

TERREBONNE PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A Gray man is facing felony charges following an alleged burglary in Terrebonne Parish.
According to Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office deputies, around 12 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19, they were alerted to a burglary in progress at a business in the 3800 block of West Main Street.

Responding deputies reportedly learned the business had recently been robbed of its copper wire. This reportedly led to the business owner installing security cameras.

An investigation revealed that a store employee witnessed 46-year-old Anthony Joseph Hickman Jr. on the property at the time of the call but once deputies arrived, he was seen running away.
Hickman was later captured in a nearby wooded area by the TPSO K-9 Division.
He was arrested and treated for injuries sustained during the capture. Further investigation revealed Hickman admitted to committing multiple burglaries at the business.

Hickman is currently booked into the Terrebonne Criminal Justice Complex on three counts of simple burglary and resisting arrest. He is currently being held on a $37,200 bond.
