Passerby Helps Save Occupants from Fire Outside of East Lincoln Home

LFR Engine No. 7. (Jeff Motz/KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR Dec. 20)–A fire outside an east Lincoln home prompted everyone asleep to wake up and get out safely.
LFR crews were called around 3:15 am Friday to a house just off of 55th and Randolph where some bushes were on fire. A passerby woke up people inside the home. LFR public information officer MJ Lierman tells KFOR News a row of tall evergreen bushes were on fire.
No one was hurt and there is about $1,000 damage to the exterior of the house. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
