PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — Cold air will sweep across the Piedmont this weekend. Saturday will be mostly sunny with lows in the lower 30s and highs in the middle 40s. We could see wind gusts around 20 mph. Sunny but cold on Sunday with lows around 20 degrees and highs in the upper 30s. Monday, sunny and still cold with lows in the upper teens and highs around 40 degrees. Christmas Eve Tuesday will be warmer with lows in the middle 20s and highs around 50 degrees.  Our skies will be partly sunny. Christmas Day Wednesday, mostly cloudy with lows in the lower 30s and highs around 50 degrees. Thursday will be mostly cloudy with lows in the middle 30s and highs in the upper 40s. Skies will remain cloudy on Friday with lows in the upper 30s and highs in the upper 40s.  Chance of rain 30%.
