Police lights   RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County Sheriff’s Leon Lott says two people have been arrested in relation to the death of a two-month-old child. Glayds Moreno and Nelson Rafael Rizo-Alvarez were both arrested in connection with the death of their infant. RCSD investigators responded to a call on October 28 about a two-month-old baby that arrived at a hospital with multiple broken bones. After an investigation, law enforcement determined that the child’s injuries were not accidental but was caused by blunt force trauma. The investigation further revealed that the infant’s mother, Glayds Moreno had a previous history with DSS for her other child being taken to the hospital for similar broken bones. On Friday, December 20, RCSD’s Fugitive Task Force arrested Moreno and Rizo-Alvarez at their home without incident. Moreno and Rizo-Alvarez were both charged with homicide by child abuse and taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. Categories: Local News, Richland Tags: Richland County Sheriff’s Department
