WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- With Christmas just days away, several grocery stores across D.C., Maryland and Virginia have released their holiday schedules. If you are looking to make a quick run to the store or need last-minute items for you and your loved ones, here is a list of the stores that have adjusted their hours for the Christmas and New Year's holidays. Safeway Safeway said its stores will open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but their hours will be adjusted. Officials said Safeway grocery stores will open at their regular scheduled time on Christmas Eve, Tuesday, Dec. 24, and will close at 8 p.m., this includes 24-hour stores. On Christmas Day, Wednesday, Dec. 25, all stress will close at 4 p.m. Here is Safeway's holiday schedule: Christmas Eve: open until 8 p.m.; Pharmacy open until 5 p.m. Christmas Day: open from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.; Pharmacy closed New Year's Eve: open until 10 p.m.; Pharmacy open until 6 p.m. New Year's Day: open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Pharmacy 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. Metro to close stations in December for construction: What you should know Trader Joe's Trader Joe's announced that all of its stores will be closed on Christmas Day, Wednesday, Dec. 25 and New Year's Day, Jan. 1.
