Malachi Jeffers-Viera connected on a three-quarter court heave at the buzzer to give the Knights a 53-50 victory over Hopewell Valley on Tuesday night. Jeffers-Viera finished with 19 points, Ryan Jean-Baptiste tallied 12 and Ronit Joneja contributed 11 as North (2-0) held off a fourth-quarter charge by the Bulldogs (1-1) to remain unbeaten. Kyle Yadamiec scored 19 points and Ethan Rich had 14 for Hopewell, which outscored North, 24-13, over the final eight minutes after the home team built a 14-point lead through three quarters.
