Dec 20, 2024
While we have a calm start to the morning, you can expect a much busier afternoon and evening ahead! We’ll be cloudy, and temperatures climb to the upper 30s and low 40s this afternoon. Then, around 2:30/3:00 PM, showers begin. As the sun sets and we get toward your evening commute, most of the rain switches over to snow. Snow showers continue through the late evening, and by tomorrow morning, many will wake up to a bit of winter white, mainly on grassy surfaces. After this storm leaves, cold air explodes into New England, sending temperatures way below average. Saturday will be the “warmer” weekend day with highs in the low 30s. By Sunday, even with the sunshine, we’ll only reach the low and mid 20s! Lows will drop into the teens and even single digits as the bitter cold continues on Monday. Tuesday (Christmas Eve) brings our next chance of wet/wintry weather. A quick-moving clipper system looks like it could brush by us with enough moisture for a few rain/snow showers. With temperatures only in the mid 30s during the day, and then in the 20s overnight/Wednesday morning, we have a chance for a few flakes to stay on the ground during the morning. Check back throughout the weekend for more! Categories: News, Weather Forecast
