Tonight is Salute to Veterans night at the Govs Girls basketball game against Sturgis and we expect a great turnout! All area veterans and all active duty military members will receive free admission to tonight’s game. There will also be a ceremony at halftime to honor all veterans and active duty members. Additionally, Pierre Public Schools, American Legion Post 8, South Dakota Army National Guard and the Hughes County Veterans Service Office will be collecting non-perishable food items that will be donated to the food pantry at Pierre Area Referral Service (PARS). The game will be held in the Pierre Gym, tip-off is set for 7:00 PM CT. If you are unable to make it out tonight, there will be another Salute to Veterans night at the January 31st boys game.
