OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - The Oklahoma City Fire Department is reminding residents that candles are one of the leading causes of house fires. According to OKCFD, firefighters recently responded to a house fire near NW 58th St. and Portland Ave. The fire began in the bedroom due to a candle. Use sturdy, tip-resistant candle holders. Never leave a lit candle unattended. Try flameless LED candles instead. Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.
