NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Sunny days are here to stay in the short term. Tomorrow is the first day of winter and it will actually be feeling like it with multiple locations along the north shore hitting that freezing mark. A light frost or freeze is possible for Poplarville, Picayune, and Bogalusa, along with southern MS. Highs in the mid 60s this afternoon. Winds stay out of the NNW near 10 mph. Highs only rise into the mid 50s on Saturday, upper 50s on Sunday. We stay dry until late Christmas Eve on Tuesday. There is a chance for showers then along with partly cloudy skies. The chance for rainfall sticks around for Christmas day. Highs near 70.
