MUNCIE, Ind. — A Muncie man received a 251.5-year prison sentence on Friday after being convicted of a triple murder that took place in 2022.
On October 30, 30-year-old Devin X. Myers was convicted on three separate counts of murder, alongside armed robbery (Level 3 Felony), criminal confinement (Level 3 felony), conspiracy to commit robbery resulting in serious bodily injury (Level 3 felony) and obstruction of justice (Level 6 felony).

Myers received a sentence enhancement due to admitting he used a firearm to commit the murder. On top of that enhancement, he received one for being a habitual offender. Myers previously received two felony convictions: battery with a deadly weapon (Class C Felony) and armed robbery (Class B Felony).

Delaware County Prosecuting Attorney Eric Hoffman initially requested Myers receive a sentence of 269.5 years, calling Myers' potential to commit violent crimes in the future "...great and unacceptable."
“Make no mistake about it - Devin Myers is a very dangerous predator – his history and his acts in this case prove it," Hoffman said. "He viciously executed three people from the same family. The community is safer with Devin X. Myers behind bars for the rest of his life."
